I received my Diploma at the Scuola di Specializzazione in Archeologia – Matera (Italy) in Classical Archaeology (Ph. D. equivalent), and I am currently a Ph. D. candidate in the Classical Archaeology program at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Department of Classics, Archaeology, and Religion. My main interest is the study of ceramics, with a particular focus on the Protohistoric and Archaic periods in central-southern Italy. I have done fieldwork at Rome (Sant’Omobono; Regia; Forum of Caesar), Gabii, Pompeii (Temple of Venus), Francavilla Marittima, and many other locations. I have published on various aspects of the pottery assemblages recovered from these sites.

My dissertation’s title is: “Pottery Production and Social Complexity in Archaic Rome and Latium”. My research aims to analyze the development of socio-economic complexity in Rome and Latium between the 8th and 6th centuries BCE through the lens of pottery production, using both traditional archaeological methods and archaeometry.
