Astrid Weisend is a second year M.A. student on the Languages & Literature track. Before coming to Mizzou, she earned her B.A. from the College of William & Mary in Classical Civilization in 2023. Her research interests include social inequality in Rome, particularly through religious activity, and Latin literature. She is currently working on her thesis examining the role of women in Lucan's Bellum Civile.
