Caitlyn received her B.A. from the University of Georgia in 2021 with bachelors in both Anthropology and Classics, and her honors thesis focused on the impact of the Justinianic Plague at late antique Corinth. She completed her MA in Classical Archaeology from Mizzou in 2023, and she is currently pursuing her PhD in Classical Archaeology. Caitlyn has excavated at the Vagnari Villa in Gravina, Italy, the Κυλὶνδρα site in Astypalaia, Greece, and in recent summers she has worked on the Venus Pompeiana Project and the Gabii Project. Her research interests include archaeometry, Roman building techniques and mortar, landscape and environmental studies, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Her current research focuses on Roman mortar composition, and she uses a number of archaeometric techniques available at the Archaeometry Laboratory at University of Missouri's Research Reactor (MURR) to conduct said research.

Caitlyn is a Student Ambassador for the Society of Archaeological Sciences, and she is also secretary for the Central Missouri Society of the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA).
