I earned my BA in History from the University of Georgia in 2013 and a MA in Classics with an emphasis in Ancient History at the University of Arizona in 2015. My MA thesis explored how Romans created and experienced dining spaces with gardens, water features, and sculptural decoration in Late Republican and Early Imperial public and private contexts.

My research interests are focused on the archaeology of central Italian communities and landscapes of pre-Roman and Roman Italy. In particular, I utilize digital tools and methods like photogrammetry and GIS for the collection, analysis, and visualization of archaeological data.

Since 2017 I have been a staff member on the Gabii Project (Gabii, Italy) and the Venus Pompeiana Project (https://www.archaeological.org/interactive-dig/pompeii-italy/) working as a topographer and GIS specialist. I also have served as a digital documentation (photogrammetry) consultant for the Stelida Naxos Project (Naxos, Greece) since 2021.

My dissertation investigates, in the form of a long-term local history, how the Umbrian community of Ameria (modern Amelia) navigated the transition from an independent polity to a Roman municipium. During the 2021-2022 academic year, I conducted archival and field work based at the Università degli Studi di Perugia as a Fulbright scholar and recipient of the Etruscan Foundation's Dissertation Research Fellowship. My project uses a combination of historical and archaeological evidence with digital tools like GIS and LiDAR in order to present a bottom-up narrative of how a Central Italian community handled the impact of Roman expansion in Italy.
